Kampsax vs Databar

Well, for all DTU erasmus exchange students these 2 words mean plenty of things. For those who just hear them for the first time:

Kampsax is a cafe-pub-club that every Thursday hosts the most successful party at the campus. I’ ve been there only once, cause I’ve been here since last Monday, but I really liked it! And when you have a great company, like I do, things are much better 🙂

Databar are rooms with pc’s spread around the campus and dedicated to studying. They are open 24/7 and you enter with your student magnetic card. The fact that most of the Danish people talk to each other while studying is quite annoying. If you need silence, then you have to find an empty databar… Like this one.dscn76062

So, it is now made clear that the title of this post can be rewritten “Partying vs Studying”. The obvious answer is Kampsax! However, I am working on a project that requires studying 🙂

Therefore, I try to spend my time doing both. What about you? What do you thing an erasmus student should do more?

first impressions

I’ ve been in Copenhagen for 7 hours and I really like it! I live with all the other exchange students of DTU at the campus village (pic), so we are all together! At my app there are 9 rooms and we all share the kitchen and the bath. My appmates are really cool, as all exchange students do! They have been very helpful and I can see that we will get on extremely well! 4 of them are Spanish, 2 Brazilians, 2 Greeks (including me) and 1 French. So, I will sure improve my spanish, cause you all know that my Portuguese are already excellent 🙂

Keep up with my picks on flickr!

Hugs from chilly but refreshing Lyngby!

Yorgos in and out

p.s. take a look at my internet connection 😀

Hello world!

I just don’t feel like changing the title of my first post at this blog. Hello world! Right, I like this simple phrase. Because it reminds me that our world is so little, that when I finish writing this article, everyone around the world will have the chance to read it! So, hello world!

Apart from that, I just need to say that I’ m going to spend this winter in Copenhagen, doing an erasmus project at DTU. I really can’ t wait, so I’ ve just registered this blog that will be my diary! It is a bit early, since I’ m flying on the 1st of November, but I like thinking of it!

So, if you feel like adding anything, please do. I’ m all ears!
